Hello

The new syllabus presents significantly greater challenges and demands stronger writing skills compared to before. Simply following the previous study method for exam preparation will inevitably lead to issues. Many teachers focus solely on delivering knowledge points without considering students' exam answering technique. Here, I aim not to criticize, but rather to bring awareness to students themselves.

My Expertise

I've meticulously compiled all A-level essay questions from the past decade, categorizing them to better understand the new syllabus's question patterns and identify key preparation areas. I thoroughly discussed all topics with students, providing detailed explanations, outlining writing strategies, conducting practice assignments, and meticulously reviewing them.

Personally, I have completed samples for all  essay questions in the new syllabus, demonstrating a thorough understanding of each question's marking scheme. Thanks to these efforts, my predictions for exam questions were mostly accurate. As long as my students diligently complete and submit their assignments for feedback and then memorize them, they will confidently encounter familiar topics in the exam and write proficiently.

I understand that most students don't struggle with understanding economic concepts but rather with handling the extensive writing required in exams. I've observed too many students who excel in understanding knowledge, nearly achieving full marks in multiple-choice questions, yet performing poorly in essay papers. As a teacher, I recognize that the essence of exam content lies in writing. Hence, my teaching heavily emphasizes the writing aspect. I aim not only to impart economic knowledge but also to teach effective writing for high marks. That's why, I provide specific exam strategies and answer templates to all my students, enabling them to improve their scores rapidly through effective practice methods.

Also, I recommend utilizing the my past year topical multiple-choice questions, arranged according to the new syllabus's exam topics. This platform covers all changes in exam topics, including A2-level questions, to optimize students' preparation efficiency. It's essential to note that the most effective preparation method involves learning from mistakes by discussing them with the teacher and then attempting similar questions again.
